The speculation whether Mike Shanahan would shut down RG3 has now come to fruition. Kirk Cousins will get the start this Sunday vs Atlanta and more than likely will start the rest of the season. I wouldn’t read too much into the Redskins sitting Robert Griffin III. I think they just don’t want to risk him being injured again. Cousins should come right in and command that offense. Accuracy was a big problem for RG3 this year. The Redskins won’t have to worry about that with Cousins, being that accuracy is one of his best attributes. If the former Michigan State QB plays really well, given Griffin’s struggles, the Redskins will have themselves a QB battle to deal with in the off season.
